SOQUA: Vocational Qualification in the Social Sciences
SOQUA is a joint initiative of three non-university institutes, namely the Institute for Social Research and Analysis (SORA), the Working Life Research Centre (FORBA) and the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI). These three partners offer vocational qualification courses in the social sciences.
In 2010, for the first time ever, SOQUA is offering a Summer School and a Seminar Programme in addition to its established courses.
SOQUA Summer School 2010: Evidence-based policy-making and social impact assessment is the key topic of the first SOQUA Summer School, which will be held in Vienna from 1930 July 2010. It includes a one-week seminar, three days of workshops and a wrap-up symposium. We expect numerous international experts and actors from relevant fields of practice. For more information on the programme and details on how to register, click here.
SOQUA Symposium 2010: A Symposium on Social Impact Assessment to be held on 2930 July 2010 will conclude the SOQUA Summer School 2010.
SOQUA plus: As of autumn 2010, our annual programme will offer seminars that you can book individually. Take a look at the seminar programme that will be available on this homepage from February 2010 onwards.
SOQUA Course 20102012: The two-year post-graduate course for international social science research is the third in the series funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research. It will start in autumn 2010 and is free of charge. More detailed information on the course and on how to submit your application will be posted on this homepage from March 2010 onwards.
SOQUA post-graduate courses impart knowledge on social science research practice, project management, and qualitative and quantitative methods of applied social science, as well as on key issues of European social research. They are aimed at junior researchers at the start of their career as well as those who are working in applied social science.
The SORA newsletter will keep you updated on all SOQUA-related news. Sign up now at www.sora.at.
